Objective: Determine the prevalence of dental anomalies of size, shape and number in patients treated in the Orthodontics area of the CEO DENT Clinic in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Material and methods: Case series study design that included 174 panoramic radiographs of adult patients to determine the presence or absence of dental anomalies. Sociodemographic identification information such as age and sex was attached. Results: The 12.5% (n=22/174) of patients presented at least one type of dental anomaly. Anomalies of number were more frequent with 14 cases, compared to those of form with 8 cases. In number anomalies, agenesis was more common with a proportion of 57.1% (n=8/14) and in shape anomalies, microdontia was more common with a proportion of 50% (n=4/8). Regarding the jaws, the upper arch concentrated the greatest number of cases. Conclusion: One out of ten people presented at least one dental anomaly. It is important that dental personnel know how to identify these situations with the corresponding diagnostic aids to provide an appropriate therapeutic approach to each situation reported.
