Introduction: Abfraction is a wedge-shaped injury, which occurs in the dental cervical region, caused by flexion produced by eccentric occlusal forces. Its etiology is not well defined, although the multifactorial aspect is generally accepted. Methodology. Study with a quantitative cross-sectional and descriptive approach of prevalence of abfraction, a census sample was carried out for clinical diagnosis of 80 patients between 30 and 60 years of age, after applying informed consent, medical records were used. and personal data sheet according to study variables. Results. It is evident that 55% of the patients presented abfractions, with little difference between both sexes, likewise, 22% of the dental organs were affected by non-carious cervical lesions, probably caused by eccentric occlusal forces and poor brushing among other causes. Conclusion. There is a correlation between the presence of non-carious cervical lesions and wear facets in adult patients. The prevalence of abfraction according to dental organs in subjects between 30 and 60 years old is 22%, which in numbers is considerable, with the sample being of varied ages, associated between young adults and older adults, obtaining important figures in this study, which which makes us think that these cases have a lot to do with stress, inadequate treatments and occlusion problems that are related to nervous disorders in the population.
