Oral health interventions such as self-care, regular monitoring, and promotion and prevention programs are critical during adolescence and should be constantly promoted. The objective of this study is to analyze the contributions of oral health interventions in adolescents. We conducted a systematic review of articles in English and Spanish with open access in the PubMed database published between 2016-2022. The total screening was 1,258 potential articles in Spanish and English, of which 9 were considered to meet the inclusion criteria and thematic content of the research. It is concluded that oral health in adolescents is affected by negative lifestyle habits for health. This situation demands that educational interventions be designed, planned and implemented that provide the right information at the right time, monitor and evaluate policies that promote good oral health practices.
