Abstract

This research analyzes the main difficulties Bolivian singani producers face in obtaining export certification from 2019 to 2024. Despite its designation of origin and unique characteristics, the singani industry encounters several barriers to internationalization. These include tariff and non-tariff restrictions, limited infrastructure, few certified wineries under international standards, and underuse of trade agreements. This study compiles official data from TradeMap, ICEX, and CENAVIT, among others, to identify improvement opportunities and enhance singani's competitiveness in global markets.
